Yes, our site is secured. Your information is never sold. We use security certificates to ensure your data is safe, and any information you provide is kept internal.
Our website is kept up-to-date. When one of our puppies is adopted, that puppy's profile is updated or removed. When viewing puppies in our gallery, you will see the message "This puppy already has a home" if the puppy has been adopted and we haven't removed it's profile yet.
The puppies are priced based upon their size, color, conformation, and registration provided with your puppy. The price does not interfere with the health of our puppies. All of our puppies are health checked by our veterinarian.
Designer puppies are very popular due to their adorable features. Designers can also be called crosses or hybrids. Our designers are F1's unless otherwise specified, which means the parents are 100% full-blooded, producing 50/50 offspring. For example, a Goldendoodle is created from a 100% Golden Retriever and a 100% Poodle. We also occasionally breed F1B generation that is 75% / 25%
Every puppy has a microchip as well as colored whelping collar to identify them.
Puppies are listed on our site throughout the week. If you are looking for something specific we recommend you placing a future puppy deposit.
We base the estimated adult weight of the puppy on the parent's weight. Details about a puppy's parent can be found when viewing a puppy on our website. Keep in mind, sometimes puppies may end up bigger or smaller than their parents and we are not guaranteeing you the listed weight; it is an estimate. All puppies can mature and develop at different rates based on several environmental factors.
Unless a puppy parent belongs to a "Guardian Home", it will be at our location. Otherwise, puppies may be kept at the Guardian Home with the Mother. Many of our puppies have a deposit placed on them before their availability date, and we recommend you do the same for a puppy that you're interested in, to ensure the puppy is kept available for you. We do not reserve puppies without a deposit.
Most of our puppies are well suited for children. We focus on breeding pups that have great temperaments and will make great family pets. We will be glad to speak with you in person to help ensure that you are adpoting a puppy that is the right fit for your family. Keep in mind, the age of your child and the adult size of the puppy.
The puppies that we have available are a too young to be fully housebroken when they go to their new homes at 8 weeks of age. Think of them as a newborn child, they are identical. We are experienced in dog training and start them learning "where" to potty with early litter box training which helps to give them a head start. We are happy to speak with you about any training questions you may have.
We accept deposits thru many payment apps such as Venmo, PayPal, Cash App, or Zelle. Your deposit is to reserve your puppy for you and for me to take that puppy off the market and no longer advertise that puppy for sale. Deposits are meant to ensure the puppy has a home lined up prior to leaving us here at HCK. For that reason deposits are non-refundable but, are transferable to future litters should something come up where you would need a different time frame for getting a new puppy.
Your new puppy comes from genetically health tested parents to ensure you are recieving a healthy, disease free puppy! All of our puppies are also vet health checked, receive vet administered vaccinations, preventative dewormings, fecal check, and are microchipped prior to leaving for their new homes at 8 weeks of age. We send each puppy home with a "go-home bag" that contains their veterinary records, registrations, some of their current food they are eating, treats, toys, leash, collar, and a blanket that has mom and littermate's scent. We also give a 2 year health guarantee and offer lifetime Breeder support.
If you want to see tons of cute pics of our past puppies head on over to our Facebook page Hunting Creek Kennels
When your female comes into estrous we normally have the female brought to our male stud of your choice on day 9 of her heat cycle. We try for 3 ties over the course of 3 to 6 days. Puppies are normally born 63 days from the first tie. Stud fee is due at time of first tie. We do offer a stud contract. Please note, not all of our studs are available for stud service. Please inquire further by phone.
If you are looking for a 1st pick spot from one of our litters for a potential future dog for your personal breeding program please contact us by phone so that we can give you information on upcoming litters. We normally begin reserving "pick spots" in a litter once a Dam is bred. We do actual puppy picks at around 4 weeks of age. Sometimes this process can vary depending on the litter. Hunting Creek Kennels always reserves the right to hold back a pup from any litter that we deem a breeding or show prospect.
Our puppies come with either AKC (American Kennel Club) or CKC (Continental Kennel Club) registrations. All puppies are sold with limited registration which mean puppies are not able to produce registerable offspring. If you are interested in full AKC or CKC registration for your puppy that may be obtained for an additional fee of $500. Please let us know upfront if you need full registration for your puppy.
We utilize "Guardian Homes" for our breeding Dams and even some of our Studs. A Guardian Home basically receives a healthy, well bred, puppy for free under contract for our breeding program. Guardian Homes have all the normal responsibilities of owning a new puppy such as routine vet visits, vaccinations, and grooming costs which they incur. Hunting Creek Kennels pays for any breeding related testing, registrations, breeding related vetting, etc. once the dog is of age. Guardian Homes can either choose to let HCK raise the litter or they are allowed to raise the litter in their home. If Guardian Homes decides under the direction of HCK to raise the litter in their home they are given an incentive to do so and receive a percentage of the total litter profit. We utilize Guardian Homes so that our future breeding Dams and Sires are in the homes they will stay in for life, even after they have retired from our breeding program.
